Why Visit Menil Collection Museum

The Menil Collection Museum located on 1515 Sul Ross Street next to La Colombe d'Or a hotel in Houston. It houses private artworks done by Jean and Dominique de Menil. The architectural masterpiece was designed by Renzo Piano a renowned Italian architect.

Currently there is an exhibition called Drawings on Site: Claes Oldenburg and Coosje van Bruggen which has been showcasing from May 9th and runs to October 11th. Body in fragments have been running from August 21, 2009 to February 28. 2010. A program by called From the Menil Film will be opening on September 25th 2009. Another one is the Artist's Eye by Margarita Cabrera which showcases on October 4th 2009.

Admission to the museum is always free. The museum is open from 11.00 am to 7.00 pm every Wednesday to Sunday but is closed on Mondays, Tuesdays and on public holidays.
